Troop 875 is located in Fairfax County, Virginia - about 6 miles outside of Washington D.C. We are sponsored by the United Methodist Men of Sleepy Hollow United Methodist Church. We serve the local community as well as attracting members from around the area.
Troop 875 has about 40 boys and we provide a full calendar of activities including camping, hiking, cooking, and service projects. The Troop is very active with campouts every month, a one-week summer camp every year, and various service projects throughout the year. The focus of the monthly campouts is chosen by the Boy Scouts and offer many opportunities for the scouts to attain the goals necessary for advancement. In the past year, the scouts have enjoyed activities such as caving, canoeing, biking, high ropes courses, and rocketry.
Every summer Troop 875 provides the opportunity for scouts to participate in a BSA High Adventure Program at Philmont Scout Ranch, Florida Sea Base, or Northern Tier Wilderness Canoeing. These additional scouting adventures are fun, challenging, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
Troop Meetings are held Monday, from 7:30pm - 9:00pm in the meeting hall of Sleepy Hollow United Methodist Church. The church is located at 3435 Sleepy Hollow Road, Falls Church, Virginia 22044. Note that the church has a Falls Church mailing address but is located in Fairfax County. Everyone is invited to attend the Troop Meetings: parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends.
